Glitter Chevron Canvases

These canvases were super easy to make and truly took less than 10 minutes! They are made on simple canvas', whatever size you choose, with scrapbook paper. Here is a list of everything or anything you'll need:

-Canvas(es) (I used 8"x10")
-Glitter (or solid) scrapbook paper of your choice (should be larger than the canvas)
-Ruler
-Pencil
-X-ACTO Knife (scissors work too, just not as accurately)
-Hot Glue or Mod Podge

HERE'S HOW:

First, trace the shape of the canvas onto the back of the scrapbook paper. This will provide an outline for your grid system.

Next, figure out, based on your canvas size, your grid system to create your zig-zag. When it comes to the vertical lines of the grid, you'll want it to be cenetered and even.

Therefore, based off of my 8x10 canvas, I went
-1 inch in on both the left side and the right side
-then 3 inches over, and 3 inches over again for my vertical lines.

From there, I made the horizontal lines equally spaced 2 inches.

THEN, just like in the photo above, create diagonal lines to create the outline of your chevron pattern.

Depending on where you're putting these or what kind of arrangement you are going for, you may want the canvases to be identical. In that case, you must use two sheets of paper and not use negative space. What I did was use both the negative and positive space of the pattern on the back of the paper when cutting to create the two canvases.

From there, I used a pencil to mark where to put them, glued them down, and then

VOILA

Glitter Chevron!
