Old window turned Chalkboard

So I had this window....and Christmas was approaching. What can I do with this window? It came to me almost immediately- CHALKBOARD! I am a fan of writing/doodling/drawing etc. etc. etc. So this seemed ideal! I bought chalkboard spray paint and transformed an old window into a useful chalkboard for my mother! Voila, christmas gift.  I unfortunately don't have a before picture as this is one of my former projects but I'm sure you can use your imagination. I was lucky enough to not have to do any aging to the frame, just lots and lots of cleaning little corners full of dirt on the glass!  If the frame isn't in good shape, there are many aging techniques or even simple ways to paint it! 

**May I just suggest- when applying chalkboard paint to glass, use something with a rougher texture. Some people suggest using paint instead of spray paint and mixing something in it to make it rougher. I used spray paint and it was too smooth and the chalk would scratch rather than write. I have to wet it in order to write on it but over time it has gotten better!
